I live in Wirral with my wife Lin who is an artist. I was born and raised in Wallasey until joining the Army aged 16, after serving for 15 years, I returned to Wirral and settled in Wallasey. I graduated from Liverpool John Moore’s University with a degree in History and Politics and then graduated from the University of Liverpool with an MA in Twentieth Century History. I have worked in a variety of roles, including working with adults with autism  and as a warehouse manager. In 2009 I was chosen as the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Wallasey for the 2010 General Election, I am still involved with local politics.  As well as an interest in both history and politics, I enjoy cricket, photography, travel and reading.
